Facebook Connect for your website's members
Facebook connect allows visitors to signup to your website using their Facebook accounts. The benifit for the visitor is that he can join your website community in just seconds. The benifit for you is that your website will be able to receive more members.
Before enabling Facebook Connect make sure you have a Facebook account. You can sign up here http://www.facebook.com. To enable and configure Facebook Connect on your website follow the next thirteen steps:
1. Go to Facebook Apps and create a facebook application : https://developers.facebook.com/apps/. You need to login with your Facebook user account before continuing. Click on +Create New App. An pop-up window will show up.
2. Enter your Webpin website address on the App Name text field (e.g. www.yourcompany.webpin.com).
3. Click on Continue. A security check pop-up window will show up.
4. Enter the anti-spam code and click on Continue.
5. On the following page you'll see the App ID and App Secret, both are codes. Copy the two codes.
6. On the Basic Info section, enter your website address on Display name text field, and your email address on Contact email text field. Leave everything else as it is.
7. On Select how your app integrates with Facebook section clic on Website with Facebook Login. Site URL text field will show up, enter your Webpin website URL here (e.g. http://yourcompany.webpin.com). NOTE: do not write www before your website's name.
8. Click on Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

9. Now login to your Webpin account and administrate your website. On the Control Panel click on Widgets.
10. Search for Members widget and click on Configure.
11. Click on the Click button on Install Facebook Connect section located at the bottom of the page.
12. Paste the App ID on the Facebook Application App-id text field, and the App Secret on the Facebook Application Secret text field.
13. Click on Save. Make sure you pasted the App ID and App Secret correctly. Facebook Connect will show up automatically after you follow correctly the steps above.
If you want to eliminate Facebook Connect, go to Webpin Facebook Connect configuration page, and click on Eliminate Facebook Connect button located at the bottom of the page.
Please consider that Facebook changes their website and tutorials constantly. The tutorial we present here serves as reference. The most important thing is to copy and paste the App ID and App Secret.
